If you appreciate the wonderful Surrey countryside that we are so fortunate to live in, and fancy a leisurely walk of approx. 4 miles in great company, then here’s an opportunity not to miss.

Come alone or join us with your wife/partner/dog/guitar/binoculars/sun cream. No matter how much of Surrey you’ve explored, you will discover more on our walks.

And there’s a bonus – At the end of the walk we enjoy a pub lunch and natter.

Probus Walk: River Thames Between Weybridge & Walton - Thursday 10th September

Dear all

This month’s walk will be along the Thames Towpath between Weybridge and Walton and around Desborough Island. We will meet at the River Walk Parking, Walton Lane, Weybridge KT13 8LT. We will meet there at 11 am on Thursday 10th September. Lunch will be at The Thames Court, TW17 9LJ at about 1pm. The area has some interesting and surprising history and will include D'Oyly Carte Island plus a trip on a ferry.

Please let Peter Stevenson know if you are intending joining the walk and bringing anyone else so that numbers can be judged for a table booking or have any questions.

Also, I’ve been reminded that the monthly Computer Group Meeting restarts on Friday 11^th September after its August break. The key subject of this meeting will be VPNs which are very important for our internet security.
